Sponsor/Exhibitor Opportunities
FAQ:
Q: If I'm a student, can I just come to the convention for free?
A: No, if you are accepted to present (panel discussion) then your conference registration fee is waived. This is separate from the housing scholarship opportunity.
Q: What do I have to pay as a student?
A: If you are selected to attend as a panel presenter and/or data blitz then your convention fee is waived. If you attend the poster session, you will pay out standard $25 student fee for registration and are still eligible for the housing scholarship. Keep in mind that your $25 registration fee covers refreshments during the convention, an awards banquet meal Saturday night, and a breakfast Sunday morning!
You can apply for the housing scholarship opportunity (above). We have rented a large vacation home that will serve as housing for students. You would be sharing the home with students of all genders.
If you are selected to receive the housing scholarship, you will be required to work a 4 hour volunteer shift at the convention which may include administrative duties, registration, setup, speaker support, etc. You also agree to attend at least two other programmed sessions.
A selection committee will review applications and will make determinations based on merit and need as demonstrated in the application. If you are not awarded the housing scholarship, then you would be responsible for your housing.
